Fostering Connections St. Johns January 2021 Newsletter

Dear Fostering Connections St. Johns Supporters,

Happy New Year! I hope you and your families had a joyful, restful holiday season.

December was a busy month for Fostering Connections St. Johns. We hosted our Holiday Gift Drive and assisted with the Drive Thru Holiday Party for foster families. Many thanks to our board members, council members, local businesses, and community members who donated holiday gifts or sponsored Holiday Party Boxes. Your generosity helped our local children in care have a joyous holiday season.

Thank you to all of our board members, council members, volunteers, donors, and supporters for a successful 2020 year. While 2020 had many challenges for us all, Fostering Connections St. Johns still had a wonderful year helping fill the gaps in services for local youth in foster care and their foster families. We reimagined our programming, adapting to a hybrid program model. We reached more families, built new partnerships, and expanded our community engagement. We are grateful for our board members who gave support and provided guidance and resources throughout the year, Council members who volunteered and gave support, our sponsors , community partners, and volunteers. Your support throughout the year helped us fill in the gaps for foster youth and their families in 2020 .You can read a full recap of the Drive Thru Holiday Party and read about all of our 2020 accomplishments in the attached newsletter.

Fostering Connections St. Johns has big plans for 2021! I have recently transitioned into the role of CEO of Fostering Connections St. Johns. We are expanding our reach in the community, expanding our services to Putnam, Flagler, and Volusia Counties. I look forward to sharing with you all about our plans to expand our programming reach over the next few months. We will have two fundraising events this year.

There are many opportunities to fill in the gaps in services for foster youth in 2021; donating care package items, volunteering at our programs and events, sponsoring an event, or becoming a part of our volunteer team. There is something everyone can do to help fill in the gaps. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to partnering with you in 2021!

Kind Regards,

Aubrie Simpson-Gotham
