Community Meet Ups

Frequency: Monthly
Locations: Alternating between The Playful Family in St. Johns and Myrtle Ave Brewing in Jacksonville.
Purpose: These meet ups provide a space for foster and adoptive families to connect and share experiences. These programs are at no cost to foster and adoptive families. Small donations or participation fees may be collected in the future to help support our programs.
Activities: Family friendly games, dinner, camaraderie

Themed Social Events
Frequency: Quarterly
Example:
Holly Jolly Shopping Spree: A community fundraiser event with local shopping, raffle prizes, and brunch. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to Fostering Connections this year.
Purpose: These events encourage community involvement and provide a chance to let people know about our organization.
Location: Local parks or community centers.

 

Local Business Partnerships
Frequency: Ongoing
Examples:
Kendra Scott Gives Back Event: Collaborating with local boutiques or online shops that donate a portion of sales from a special event or weekend. This September, Kendra Scott at St. Johns Town Center will be donating 20 percent of the sales they make between 11:00 am and 1:00pm.

Dine Out Nights: Partnering with local restaurants where a percentage of sales on a specific night is donated to Fostering Connections.
Purpose: To create a steady stream of income through partnerships with local businesses.

 

Seasonal Online Campaigns
Frequency: 2 or 3 times a year
Example:
Holiday Giving Campaign: Collecting donations for holiday gifts and necessities.
Purpose: Using social media and email campaigns to encourage small donations from a broad audience.
