Teen Talk is a monthly social program where youth can relax, have fun, build friendships, and connect with peers in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment. Each month features a different activity—such as bowling, coffee socials, game nights, or other community outings—designed to encourage positive relationships, build confidence, and create a sense of belonging.
While having fun is the focus, Teen Talk also provides opportunities for youth to develop communication skills, strengthen social connections, and engage with caring adult mentors in a relaxed setting.
Who Can Join
Foster/Adoptive youth in grades 6-12 in all of the counties we serve (Duval, St. Johns, Putnam, Flagler, and Volusia Counties).
Teen Talks are supported in part by Kids Hope Alliance for Duval County, helping Fostering Connections provide safe, youth-led spaces for conversation, skills, and connection.

October Teen Talk Event
Our October Teen Talk was filled with creativity, laughter, and connection as teens gathered at Doing Dishes for a fun pottery-painting experience!
Each participant had the opportunity to choose a pottery piece and make it their own with colorful designs and personal touches. Beyond the painting, it was a wonderful chance for teens to relax, express themselves, and enjoy time together in a welcoming environment.
At Fostering Connections, we love creating opportunities for young people to build friendships, explore their creativity, and simply have fun being themselves. 💙
