Monthly Meet Ups
For Foster/Adoptive Families

Jacksonville Family Empowerment Nights are supported in part by Kids Hope Alliance for Duval County families, helping us offer family dinner, a Parent Café training, and age-appropriate activities for foster/adoptive youth ages 0-18. What began as Family Meetups in 2022 has grown into a vital support program for caregivers and youth.
We’re excited to announce a new chapter for Family Empowerment Night! Beginning in September, Fostering Connections is partnering with the Williams Family YMCA in Jacksonville and the YMCA at Flagler Health+ Village in St. Johns County to create even more opportunities for families to connect, learn, and grow together.
Family Empowerment Night brings foster, adoptive, and kinship families together for an evening of dinner, family connection, caregiver support, and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. While caregivers participate in Parent Café conversations designed to build support and strengthen families, children will enjoy activities through the YMCA, and teens will have a space designed specifically for them.

Each gathering is designed to provide families with a welcoming place to build relationships, find support, and enjoy time together—all while connecting with others who understand the unique experiences of foster care, adoption, and kinship care. We’re thrilled to partner with the YMCA to make Family Empowerment Night an even more enriching experience for the whole family.
