Pathways Opportunity Fund

Launching in January 2027, the Pathways Opportunity Fund will provide direct, purpose-driven support to youth in grades 6–12 as they take the next steps toward independence and stability.
Designed to remove critical barriers, this fund supports middle and high school youth impacted by foster care by expanding access to meaningful, goal-aligned opportunities. Rather than funding one-time enrichment, the Pathways Opportunity Fund invests in experiences connected to Fostering Connections’ programs—helping youth build skills, confidence, and direction toward stable, self-directed futures.
Investments may support career exploration, workforce readiness, leadership development, and participation costs tied to approved opportunities. Each award is connected to a youth’s engagement in Fostering Connections programming, with participants completing a brief reflection to demonstrate growth and identify next steps.
Through the Pathways Opportunity Fund, we aim to ensure that youth not only gain skills through our programs, but also have the resources needed to turn those skills into real-world success.
