Fostering Connections January 2023 Newsletter

Dear Fostering Connections Supporters,

I hope you and your family had a blessed holiday season and joyous New Year! As 2023 begins, it is a great time to reflect on the past year and set goals for the new year.

Our first newsletter of 2023 recaps our 2022 Holiday Drive and celebrates the accomplishments of the 2022 year. In 2022, Fostering Connections was able to support over 300 youth impacted by foster care or trauma throughout Northeast Florida through our educational programs and enrichment scholarships.

Thank you to our board members, council members, donors, and volunteers for your support and partnership. Through your giving, we raised over $159,000 to support our educational programs and enrichment scholarships. 2022 was a successful year of empowering our youth in care and growing our reach in Northeast Florida.

2023 will be a busy year for Fostering Connections. We are launching our 2023-2024 Strategic Plan, starting quarterly Teen Talk events for our middle and high school students, adding a second Foster/Adoptive Family Meet Up location, and will be updating our website. Stay tuned for more information in our February 2022 newsletter.

As you set your New Years Resolutions, is supporting families impacted by foster care or trauma or increasing your annual charitable giving on your list of goals for 2023? If so, let's meet for coffee and discuss ways you can partner with Fostering Connections to help youth impacted by foster care or trauma have the tools they need to thrive in adulthood.
