Fostering Connections July 2022 Newsletter

Dear Fostering Connections Supporters,

I hope you and your family are having a great summer!

It has been a busy summer here at Fostering Connections! Career Readiness Academy sessions have been held in Duval County at the Markets at Town Center. Our teens participating had a wonderful time learning about foundational career readiness skills and getting hands on learning experiences with Markets at Town Center merchants, Buff City Soaps and Prati Italia. A special thank you to Markets at Town Center for being a host site for our Career Readiness Academy program. Additional sessions will be held in South Daytona at the Guardian ad Litem office and in DeLand at the Lions Clubhouse this month.

Plans for Back to School Bash are underway. This fun annual event gives foster families the opportunity to celebrate the beginning of the school year together and receive much needed backpacks and school supplies. Over 100 backpacks filled with school supplies have been requested this year from all of the counties we serve! Learn about how you can help fill a backpack and support Back to School Bash in this month's newsletter. I look forward to seeing many of our supporters there!

Fostering Connections has been able to support over 80 children and young adults this year! Read about a few of the youth we have been able to help in this month's newsletter. Your donations are making a difference for youth impacted by foster care or trauma throughout Northeast Florida.
