Dear Friends of Fostering Connections,
As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, I’m filled with gratitude for the many blessings that make our work at Fostering Connections possible. I’m especially thankful for our donors, board members, volunteers, and families—your generosity and belief in our mission continue to light the path forward.
This fall has been full of growth and innovation. We piloted our new Career & Life Skills Jumpstart program in October, with additional sessions coming this month, and we’re proud to be the first organization in Florida to pilot the Catapult platform through the American Access Institute. Join us for the Teen Career Panel & Catapult Launch on November 21 in Jacksonville as we celebrate this milestone!
Our Florida Youth SHINE Greater Jacksonville Chapter is also making waves—three of our youth now serve on the Statewide Board, and several have been featured in news stories across Florida. I hope you’ll support them at their first youth-led fundraiser, “SHINE Forward: Our First Step,” on November 14 at Myrtle Ave Brewing.
As our programs expand, so do our volunteer opportunities—from mentoring to event support. Your time and talents truly make a difference!
Looking ahead, our Light the Way Campaign runs December 1–15, shining a spotlight on stories of resilience and hope. I invite you to make a gift that helps light the way for our youth and families this holiday season.
