Fostering Connections October 2025 Newsletter

Dear Friends of Fostering Connections,

Fall is here, and we are so grateful for the many ways you continue to support our mission. September was an incredible month—our Florida Youth SHINE Jacksonville Chapter was honored as Chapter of the Year at the Florida Department of Children and Families Summit, with three members joining the Statewide Board. 

We also hosted a wonderful Family Empowerment Night, and were blessed to be a beneficiary of the Big Dill Pickleball Classic, along with several other community fundraisers. None of this would be possible without your support—thank you!

October brings even more opportunities to connect. This month we’ll host a Teen Talk at Hanna Park, another Family Empowerment Night, launch our first Career & Life Skills Jumpstart class, and join in community fun at the Pumpkin Patch with Anderson Realty. We hope you’ll join us at these events!

As our programs grow, so do the ways you can get involved. Right now, our greatest needs are volunteers to help with meals and childcare at Family Empowerment Night, and support with sponsors and auction items for our Art of Family Gala. Whether you enjoy serving families directly or connecting with businesses, your time and talents make a lasting impact.

Together, we are building a stronger community where every youth and family impacted by foster care knows they are supported, valued, and not alone.
