Dear Fostering Connections St. Johns Supporters,
I hope you and your families had a wonderful Independence Day.
During the month of June, we provided car seats and clothing for foster families. Jacksonville Business Connections selected us as the beneficiary of their Summer Craft & Vendor event Charity Raffle . Thank you to Jacksonville Business Connections owner Melissa Lampugnano for her continued support!
Attached is our July newsletter for you to view.
On July 1, Fostering Connections St. Johns closed our Backpack Brigade storage unit. There is a great need for college and career readiness programs , arts programs, and classes for foster parents and relative/nonrelative caregivers in our community. We will be shifting our primary focus as an organization to providing these programs for our community. We will continue to provide our care packages, car seats, and clothing gift cards on an as needed basis. Our Back to School Bash has been cancelled this year. but we will be offering curbside school supply pick up for the families we serve.
In the fall, we plan to begin our Career Readiness Academy in partnership with The Kookaburra. On August 28, we will be hosting an online Live Auction to support the Career Readiness Academy program. Read our fundraising updates for more information.
We greatly appreciate your support of our local children in foster care and foster parents. Especially during this uncertain time, we are thankful for supporters like yourself who remain dedicated supporters of our mission and programs to help all children in foster care have the resources and support they need to reach their full potential.
Kind Regards,
Aubrie Simpson-Gotham
