Dear Fostering Connections Community,

Summer 2024 has been incredibly rewarding for us at Fostering Connections, especially with the successful completion of our Career Readiness Academy. We are thrilled to share that 68 students across our region have graduated from the program, thanks to the generous support of our donors, community partners, and dedicated volunteers. We invite you to read the inspiring testimonials from our students in the upcoming newsletter.

Our next Teen Talk is scheduled for August 3rd in the St. Augustine/Butler Beach area, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation to the St. Augustine Surf School and Vice Chair Michelle McGlamery for their invaluable contributions to making this event possible. Volunteers are needed to serve as chaperones at the event; your participation would greatly enhance the experience for our teens.

Looking ahead to the fall, we have adjusted our Foster/Adoptive Family Meet Up schedule for the 2024-2025 academic year to ensure we continue offering quality, meaningful events that support our families.

We are also excited to announce the launch of the Jacksonville chapter of Florida Youth Shine, a significant initiative that Fostering Connections is proud to sponsor. This underscores our commitment to empowering youth and fostering leadership within our community.

As we move into the fall season, we are honored to participate in several microfundraising events, including the St. Augustine Sunrise Rotary's The Big Dill Pickleball Classic from September 27-29 at Treaty Park. Sponsorship opportunities and volunteer roles are available; your involvement will make a meaningful difference.

Save the date for Kendra Gives Back Day on September 14 at the Kendra Scott St. Johns Town Center store from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and online. Stay tuned for more announcements about additional microevents in our next newsletter.

Thank you all for your unwavering support. Together, we are making a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our community.

Warm Regards,

Aubrie Simpson-Gotham
