Fostering Connections December 2022 Newsletter


Dear Fostering Connections Supporters,


It is hard to believe the 2022 year is coming to a close. It has been a busy year of expanding our services, growing our impact across Northeast Florida, and building new partnerships. We have helped over 300 youth impacted by foster care or trauma across Northeast Florida through providing basic needs, educational programming, focusing on college and career readiness, and enrichment grants. We grew our staff this year, adding our Administrative Assistant Sara Solomons and completed our two year Strategic Plan. I look forward to sharing a full recap of the 2022 year and our two year Strategic Plan in our January 2023 newsletter!


Thank you to our board members, council members, donors, volunteers, and community partners for all you have done this year to support the mission and programs of Fostering Connections. You have given to Fostering Connections through financial contributions and sharing your time and talents. I greatly appreciate your support and partnership. Youth in care across Northeast Florida have had opportunities to develop their talents and plan for their future because of your support.


As the 2022 year concludes, we are focusing on our annual Holiday Drive. We have over 90 youth across Northeast Florida who you can help have a joyful holiday season. It is a great opportunity to get the entire family involved with shopping for holiday gifts to help our youth in care have their holiday wishes come true during this very difficult season in their life. For youth in care away from their families, the holiday season can be a very lonely time. Your gifts and support means so much to each child. I am always in awe each year of the generosity and joy our supporters share with the youth Fostering Connections supports.


We are excited to be the beneficiary of the St. Johns Moms' Shop for a Cause event at the Kendra Scott St. Johns Town Center and We Feed's Holiday Backyard Southern Series. I look forward to seeing many of our supporters there!
